The surgery and Minor Injuries Unit is open from 08:00-20:00 Monday-Friday. 

Our telephone lines are also open 08:00-20:00 Monday-Friday, but between 08:00-8:30, 13:00-14:00 and 18:00-20:00 we are open for urgent telephone queries and minor injuries only.

The Stennack Surgery now operates an Care Navigation system which has been designed using NHS England guidance. 

This system has been put into place by the GP Partners so we can get the right type of help for you as quickly as possible.  When you contact the surgery our trained reception team will ask you for more information about the medical reason for your contact.  This information will be used to direct you to the most appropriate member of our Stennack Team this may include a member of our Nursing Team, Mental Health Practitioners, Physios, Practice Pharmacist or one of our GPs.

All our reception team have received both face-face training by EPI and online training and use red flag protocols devised from national guidance.

Please call NHS 111 to access the Out of Hours Service

If you need urgent advice when The Stennack Surgery is closed, which cannot wait until the surgery re-opens, please telephone 111.

If you call the surgery after 18:30, you will hear information on how to contact the NHS 111 service.  Your call will not be automatically transferred and you will need to hang-up and re-dial 111. Your needs will be assessed by the NHS 111 service and advice offered, or arrangements made for you to see an out of hours clinician if required.

111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally. 

Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:

• Treat yourself at home
• Go to a Primary Care Centre

If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
